" 'You may perhaps have wondered why I never chose you as a prefect? I must confess ... that I rather thought ... you had enough responsibility to be going on with.'

Harry looked up at him and saw a tear trickling down Dumbledore's face into his long silver beard."

My submission for the HP art project. From OotP

ETA: I really must credit/thank Nullermanden [link] for his fantastic gallery of interesting photographic portraits. I did a bit of a Frankenstien, taking a nose from one guy, some eyes from another etc. (the hand belongs to my husband.)

Wow, amazing. You've outdone yourself on this one! So much emotion and story in his gaze and the placement of his hand, the lines in his forehead, everything. You must be very proud of this one. :)

This is just phenomenal. I know on LJ you said you were getting fed up of the sight of it, but seriously all the work shows. It's just amazing.

It is amazing what you produced here. Sooooo many details: his expression, his eyes, his beard, and finally, the tear.

Amazing!

Wow...gorgeous! The value and the wrinkles and lines all on his face are just awesome. And his eyes are lovely - they actually look very wizened, but still very sad. The emotion you've captured in them (and the rest of his face) is great. And I love the tear. *sniffs* This was one of my favorite bits of OotP, and you've illustrated it beautifully. Great work! :D
